Grats all for putting the hard work in on Wednesday for practice (especially those that couldn't make it back) and then coming back on Sunday to finish it off.

Thanks to Smudge for interrupting his date to come and heal for an hour!

After a frustrating few attempts with lag and DCs, the fight came together perfectly on the hour to get us our first live content Cataclysm hard mode kill. Rhythm ftw and grats to Smudge and Ging for the first ilvl410 shinies!

With some great work on Ultraxion, Blackhorn and Spine to get them down quickly, and special thanks to Narvv for graciously swapping out to help us get more than two ranged dps in the party, three solid attempts (and two or three quick wipes that we'd rather not mention) saw us kill Deathwing with one bear left standing! As gear improves hopefully we'll manage it with more of us still alive, but the level of progress we've made over the last 3-4 weeks with a new boss every week is fantastic. Thanks so much to everyone for signing up regularly and well done both to those that were there for the kill and to those that have helped us practice the fights and get there faster each week.

We will make sure to get here as often as possible over the next few weeks to get everyone the title and spread the shiney loot around, but we're also going to be working on some of the hard modes, starting with Morchok and then moving on to Hagara and Yor'shaj.

Well done all for completing Cataclysm normal mode raiding. We're 12/12, 7/7 and 8/8 in normals and that's pretty awesome! Lets see how much of a dent we can make on the big stuff ;-)

Spine went down following Warmaster with an hour and a half remaining on the raid clock! Over an hour on Madness of Deathwing allowed us to get him down to 2.5 million health and an almost-kill. Normal mode raid completion is right around the corner for us now. Let's put this one to bed and get to work on some of the hardmodes.

Another solid night of raiding, with good learning all round. Blackhorn went down by 21:30 leaving us an hour and a half on Deathwing's Spine. We put that to good use by getting to the last Tendon and having that at 20% health before not quite having the dps/healing to push through to having another Amalgamation go through the motions and give us a second shot at the last tendon. Still 90% of the fight complete and it should fall soon leaving us at 7/8 and the last fight of Cataclysm ahead!
